Money Goals for June


Goals

Debt
  • Pay off Adams Small Loan by December--currently at: $3245.22---we will use the rebates from our cc next month
  • Get Emergency Fund Back to $5000-- currently $4514.32--added $960 this month, we have a new strategy of rolling all the money into one fund at a time and getting it to our goal.
  • Keep paying Adams Big Loan--extra payments once small loan is gone-- currently at $36,006.85, paid off about 500 this month including our thankyou rewards check
Save
  • Pay all medical bills etc with HSA Fund-- waiting on the surgery claim...paid $87 last month
  • Continue to contribute the max to my Roth $5000-- 2010 roth-currently at $1,707.00
  • Start Boiler Fund and buy a boiler this year with tax credit Save $2000-- currently $969.76 added $182.90 this month
  • Get Baby Fund up to $5500 at least--currently at $3385.69 added nothing this month
  • Get Vacation fund to $1000--currently $60.69-added nothing this month
  • Start IKEA fund so we can go on a shopping spree haha ($1000 goal)- currently at $540.98
  • Save $40 in HSA fund--currently we have two HSA balances: 220.01 and 446.59

  • Start Cavs fund when our first fund reaches its goal and small loan is paid off
  • pay one fund at a time and get to the goal of the emergency fund $5000 first
  • Keep paying Adams Big Loan--extra payments once small loan is gone
  • Save $40 in HSA fund
  • Get all funds done then make emergency fund $10000
  • Get bank account to $10000 pay off medical bills and then pay off adams small loan
Completed Goals
  • Consider Refinancing our House---not worth it with our mortgage company
  • Redo downstairs plumbing ($1100)--paid 1/7 and 1/21
  • Continue to contribute the max to my Roth $5000--Maxed 2/8
  • Close Huntington and move money to northwest saving--2/10
  • Pay $450 more for basement plumbing done! done 3/5
  • Buy Cavs season tickets...make a fund next year!--bought 3/10
  • Use Thank You rewards for Adams Loans-- used them! 5/10
  • Opening a Schwab 2% Cash back card--will use all cash back for Adams loans 5/10

  • Pay off Adams Small Loan by March
  • Talk with Wells Fargo, they want to refinance our home--ill wait til they call again, havent had time to meet with him
  • Save at least $300 for Sean and Mandys wedding in Disney-We decided that its not a good idea to go due to my surgery costs :( We are sad about it.
  • Look into different mutual funds for Roth...--i still dont know what i am doing with this..

Britt bday dinner--went to Texas Roadhouse, enjoyed seeing everyone!
Sarah and Kevin Housewarming--Didnt get to go due to work :(
Have a fire with our friends--havent had a nice day off yet
See Vicky and Jeremy- saw them twice and went to icecream
Chicago for 5 days!!--It was not what i expected but still nice to get away!
See Trish and Linda- never going to happen
Meet up with Sean and Mandy for wedding gift--maybe this month?
Read a book- Read Fade Away by Harlan Coben, pretty good. Also listened to dave ramsey on cd in my car
If adam and I have a day off: take a scooter ride to kent or hike cuyahoga valley national park--were supposed to may 24, then they scheduled adam to work.

DIYing/Crafting:
Scrapbook 10 Pages, hopefully I can do this in chicago!--I did 7 close enough.

Gardening:
Buy some mulch and top soil for the flower beds--adams dad is gonna give us some multch soon

Home:
Start painting bathroom??--its grey!!
Go through pantry this month and clean out kitchen cabinets-- I got that done!

Cooking:
Make 2 vegetarian recipes--white bean skillet, it was good. Gonna make some white bean chili outta the beans also made this citrus fish, it was ok...dont plan on making it again

Wellness:
Having surgery on may 18--it hurt but no endometriosis so thats good
Preadmission testing May 4--did that too!
Run 4 miles at least during one run and run every day in chicago and once a week at home except the surgery week--ran everyday in chicago and did run once a week at least! I hope i can do the johnnycake

Work:
Work a contract at hillcrest with one day a week at rbc--rbc kept cancelling but i got overtime at hillcrest

Debt
  • Pay off Adams Small Loan by December--currently at: $3295.88.20---we will use thank you rewards this month to pay it
  • Get Emergency Fund Back to $5000-- currently $3553.87--added $182.90 this month
  • Keep paying Adams Big Loan--extra payments once small loan is gone-- currently at $36,562.34
Save
  • Pay all medical bills etc with HSA Fund-- just paid the first one $107.00...
  • Continue to contribute the max to my Roth $5000-- 2010 roth-currently at $1,291.00
  • Use Thank You rewards for Adams Loans-- currently have $28,897--getting $225 in student loan rebates!
  • Start Boiler Fund and buy a boiler this year with tax credit Save $2000-- currently $969.76 added $182.90 this month
  • Get Baby Fund up to $5500 at least--currently at $3385.69 added $182.90 this month
  • Get Vacation fund to $1000--currently $193.32-added $182.90 this month, I am sure we will use this up in chicago next week. Then we will save for our anniversary
  • Start IKEA fund so we can go on a shopping spree haha ($1000 goal)- currently at $540.98
  • Save $40 in HSA fund--currently we have two HSA balances: 80.01 and 617.89

May Goals in my life



April-
Fun
Go to Sarah and Kevs new house--went to visit, they are having a housewarming in may
Go see Dawn when she comes to town--went to coffee and dinner :)
Kelly and Jasons wedding--April 17! Fun time with the family
March of Dimes Walk--Great time with Logan, i was so happy my whole family came
Zacharys Bday Party--Lots of people. Fun times!
See Vicky and Jeremy--went to dinner at their house before work...not very long but it was fun!
Go to a cavs game with Lorina and one with Adam--went to both plus a playoff game!!
DIYing/Crafting:
Scrapbook 2 Pages--I think I just did one...

Gardening:
Take meme to Gails Garden with me to figure out flowers--Got a bunch of flowers and planted
Try to figure out flower beds again---finally did it!

Home:
Declutter basement for 15 minutes every time I am off work--did some...went to jeannies and had a recycle day it was great!
Wash all windows this month at some point--our window screens get stuck so it is hard to do...we need a fund for new windows. But i did vacuum out all the screens this month!

Cooking:
Make 2 vegetarian recipes--we made homemade pizza, not veggie...and I forget what else we had...

Wellness:
Go running at least 4 times this month--I did it! and I went with Jeannie it was a good run

Work:
Work part time at Hillcrest and Full time at Rainbow until April 24---Got called off a few shifts this month...
